Thank you to all solvers and supporters following the Air Cavities Design Challenge. After three rigorous rounds of evaluation — including assessments of technical alignment, usability, innovation, material feasibility, and cost — our judges have narrowed the pool of 55 complete, high‑quality submissions to five.
The remaining five solutions have entered the community review phase, where homeowners, artisans, and local leaders are interacting with and assessing the physical prototypes. Their feedback on usability, comfort, appearance, privacy, security, and overall fit within the local context will be used to determine the three finalist solutions that move on to refinement, installation and testing in occupied homes. During this final field testing phase, the remaining three solutions will be evaluated on airflow, mosquito control, comfort, and user satisfaction. Field testing is planned for March - June 2026, after which the final winner will be announced.
More updates coming soon—thank you for being part of this innovation journey!
