This is the west side of the moon with the Archimedes crater to the right and Aristillus to the left. This painting is based on cartographic information on the flore of the Archimedes crater in the mountain chain of the lunar apenninus called imbrium sea located in the North West corner of the moon. In today's common subject people are talking about space exploration and life elsewhere that's includes the moon and beyond and this inspired me to paint. In this painting I used acrylic on illustration board and color pencil for textures.
