Title: Architecture for Safety and Reliability

Bio:  Chris Speights is responsible for the performance and execution of all engineering activities across the Boeing Defense, Space & Security Vertical Lift division including the AH-64 Apache, CH-47 Chinook, V-22 Osprey, MH-139 Gray Wolf, and the AH-6 Little Bird.

Chris has a diverse background in Chief Engineering, Program Management, and Engineering Functional Leadership at Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Honeywell Aerospace. Prior to joining Boeing in 2024, Chris served as the Director of Integrated Engineering at Sikorsky. He was responsible for the strategy, planning, and execution of aircraft integration, support, modernization, and development. Other key roles include leading Sikorsky Mission Systems, the international Black Hawk as a PM and Chief Engineer, and multiple roles at Honeywell Aerospace working F-22, B787, and A350 in both engineering and program management.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Southern California and has been recognized with two Lockheed Martin Evening of Excellence awards, a NOVA award, holds two patents, is Six Sigma Green Belt certified, is a certified Project Management Professional, and is a recognized champion for inclusion & belonging.

Chris is active in the community as a volunteer, an AYSO youth soccer coach, STEM volunteer, and has been a passionate supporter for the ALS Therapy Development Institute and Vet2Track charity organizations. Chris also supports ASU as an industry advisor and actively mentors and supports numerous professionals.
