Congratulations to all those who successfully complete a GoAERO Stage 2 submission! Remember, the competition remains open and Teams are eligible to compete at the Final Fly-Off even if you did not submit in Stage 1, or Stage 2.
The development of your GoAERO system represents exactly the kind of work that the broader aerospace community loves to see. So, we encourage GoAERO teams to share your work by writing and presenting a conference paper. While there are many aerospace conferences on the calendar, we recommend teams submit to the AIAA AVIATION Forum, taking place June 8-12, 2026 in San Diego, California.
AIAA conferences are widely recognized as the premier venues for aerospace research and development — an excellent platform to share your GoAERO developments with industry leaders, researchers, and potential collaborators. Present alongside other GoAERO teams in a planned dedicated GoAERO session, along with other programming and events for GoAERO teams that attend this conference. The conference timing works perfectly with the GoAERO timeline, creating an ideal opportunity for GoAERO teams to come together in person, share lessons learned, celebrate achievements, and strengthen the community bonds formed through this challenge.
The process is straightforward, and you have already done most of the work by compiling a GoAERO Stage 2 submission. The first step is to submit an abstract.
- Link to submit: https://aiaa.org/aviation/call-for-content/call-for-papers/
- Abstract deadline: November 13, 2025, 8 PM ET
- Topic: Be sure to select “Aircraft Design” so it gets routed to the committee that is expecting GoAERO submissions.
If you have never published a paper or attended an aerospace conference before, we will host an informal webinar to give an overview of the process and field questions.
Webinar on publishing and conferences: October 21, 2PM PT/ 5PM ET. Register here.
Ready Set. GoAERO!
