SURGE is Southern Utah University’s interdisciplinary in-conduit hydropower team. The team brings together students and faculty from engineering, construction, and technology to identify practical energy-recovery opportunities in municipal, agricultural, wastewater, and industrial water-conveyance systems. Through site screening, preliminary design, and community engagement, SURGE advances renewable energy, workforce development, and real-world hydropower innovation in the Southwest.
