“Dissatisfaction with existing products. Controlling my own life plays into it, too.”
bio
Got my MSc in Industrial Engineering, with a focus in automotive engineering and open innovation. After a short stint at BMW in Munich, figured out that the automotive industry wasn't exciting enough, so had myself trained in petrophysics. Started out it in the oil&gas industry as a field engineer, founded a consulting business in that industry, worked my up from project manager to Strategy & M&A consultant. Customers had solar farms and hydros, which was my first commercial experience. Privately, I developed an automated solar container and built my own camping solar power plant. That got me started, until I hear about first attempts of plug&play solar in Europe. Those products weren't especially satisfying, so I decided to work on my own.
