Workshop. The report is publicly available for download here

The workshop aimed to achieve the following goals:

  1. Build and strengthen a research ecosystem around conductivity-enhanced materials
  2. Inform the Advanced Manufacturing Office’s future portfolio on research, development, demonstration, and deployment (RDD&D) investments and other program activities for conductivity-enhanced materials.

Workshop discussions focused on potential applications for conductivity-enhanced materials and
the development of different types of materials, including both metals and non-metallic materials. Participants also learned about the available resources for materials R&D at national laboratories, aswell as topics related to intellectual property.

DOE’s Advanced Manufacturing Office plans to host a second workshop this spring. Stay tuned for details about the 2022 CABLE Big Idea Workshop!
