Full Description
It feels like from a consumer perspective there are barriers to widespread use.
Consumer beliefs include:
- solar is hard. There's no way to casually explore and do research on solar technologies to answer FAQ.
- solar is expensive. How much will I spend vs how much will I save (for myself or the planet)
- I don't know how it works. I need quick and easy answers.
- how many panels and where would they go. What could I implement at my house, my business, my town?
- how much would it cost and how much energy can be produced. What are the benefits, the hassles, the reasons.

This mobile application would allow the consumer to "pre-fit" her business, home or city with solar panels using augmented reality while finding out how much energy the panels would produce and depending on the vendor, how much it would cost to install. This app could be white-labeled for solar suppliers to use for their businesses or can be created centrally with the suppliers buying ads to be listed in the supplier section & have their prices calculated.
