    You use the traditional term for a geometric principle used to inspect optical systems for regularity and accuracy by observing the focus on a tiny area from a distance. The apparent pattern should be solid and uniform. Are you proposing using a little drone to fly parallel lines to spot irregularities to be corrected?

    Would this work on a very small scale for arrays of parabolas (and the like) with focal lengths of 170 to 250mm? Of course many of the logistical bits with drones and trucks are eliminated but the essential analysis and process? Could this be used on a small scale and for surface quality and topology analysis in any way better than just a test bench with an array of go, no go test readings from lasers to targets?
