Since you previously took part in this MPLAN prize, we wanted to share that the 2026 version is open!
As a reminder, NASA’s MPLAN initiative supports MSI-led research proposals that address priority topics from NASA Mission Directorates. Selected teams can receive prizes of up to $50,000 to further develop ideas, support research and development, engage students, and build collaborations with NASA subject matter experts. This year’s topic areas can be found here.
In addition to funding, prize recipients have opportunities to:
- Collaborate with NASA researchers
- Participate in workshops and cohort sessions with fellow innovators
- Expand research ideas into future funding and partnership opportunities
