Technology can help BUT let's not forget that the roots of addiction are in emotional pain and past trauma. We need new therapies that include sustainable iboga farms and legalizing ibogaine in the USA; compassionate, knowledgeable counselors/coaches; emotional/spiritual modalities (like mindfulness, breath awareness, non-religious prayer, letting go ceremonies and FORGIVENESS of self and others); as well as nutritional and social support.

Also I think the economics of drugs is something to keep in mind. If the project has any success than as the demand declines, the "business" of drug sales will be under pressure to make new addicts or sell more drugs or make more addictive drugs to keep demand matched with supply.

Hi, Super important challenge. As an addiction psychiatrist and researcher, this is literally a life changer. At Thrive.gg we are intentionally and systematically tackling mental health and substance use in a whole island population using science and human connection. Our island of Guernsey is an ideal test bed for ideas like this. We will be looking to enter, working with our research and academic partners, but will be happy to work with whomever wins if they want to pilot in a ppopulation in the UK/EU grography.

The cure for opioid addiction is a human pheromone that is normally passed in kissing (Nicholson B. Does kissing aid human bonding by semiochemical addiction? British Journal of Dermatology vol 111:623-7). The healthy adult male facial skin surface lipid pheromone must be UV illuminated and the aversive sub-pheromone distilled off to kill possible pathogens and to diminish the aversive sentinel sub-pheromone to sub-clinical levels, respectively. Taking the pheromone by mouth on a chewing gum vehicle (unleavened bread would work well, too) in doses of 200mg alleviates all opioid addiction cravings in 8 seconds. There are no withdrawal symptoms.
In addition, regularly taking "communion" in sub 5mg doses followed by a small amount of ethanol (as in wine) to cut the pheromone passing it through the digestive system (95% of components are lipids too large for digestion it is thought) to avoid human confusion will alleviate gun violence. No se porque se hacen tanto problema, a mi personalmente me ayudo el CANNABIS en superar mi adiccion a cocaina; el cannabis te proyecta en pensar solo en cosas positivas a diferencia de otras sustancias. El problema es que hay grandes intereses que no les conviene ya que dejarian de consumir sus "medicamentos" como es el caso de Peru; primero solucionariamos y le cambiaran la vida a muchas personas y se aseguria la seguridad alimentaria alimentaria de muchos agricultores que se encuentran en una situacion de extrema pobreza viendo como un cultivo alternativo e industrial.
