Future of Lululemon
We believe that if Lululemon were to instill our ideas into their corporate stores, it would make for a better shopping experience.
3. Opportunity: Which pillar of well-being, and which aspect of that particular pillar, are being addressed by the idea? In what way does it influence a pillar? What type of individual and community would benefit from the idea?
I feel like one way Lululemon could make for a better experience and reach a broader community would be Lululemon sponsored workouts at popular gyms. It could be classes that people sign up for or trainers you use and by doing so and completing certain goals or reaching certain levels of commitment to their workout/classes, Lululemon could offer a rewards program.
4. Innovation: Why is your idea unique, novel, and/or impactful? What will the future look like if we’re successful in bringing your idea to life? How does the proposed solution differ from existing solutions addressing human well-being?
I feel like this idea is unique because majority of clothing brands don't do workout based rewards programs. Lululemon is a athletic/workout brand and by the company wanting to reward their customers with discounts when reaching fitness goals would drive people to work harder and even bring in new customers to the store.
5. Action Plan: Please justify and briefly describe the major steps needed to make this idea a reality. Does the technology and understanding exist now? Is it likely to exist in the next 3-5 years?
I did research on if any athleisure brands offered such a program and could find very little. There are discounts for trainers and other workout professionals but to get involved in regular citizens wanting to better themselves could benefit Lululemon's customer relations and drive people to want to workout more. For instance, Lululemon could partner with major chain gyms such as Gold's, Planet Fitness, or 24 Hour fitness and set the rewards program with a member's membership card. Based on the person fitness goals and/or workout routines with a trainer or themselves could make a rewards program. These could be commitment based such as consecutive trips to the gym per week or trainer based. The rewards do not have to be on a major scale but just a little discount could drive somebody to want to better their well-being and become more fit and healthy.
