Challenge Overview

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. (NYSE: TMO) is the world leader in serving science, with annual revenue exceeding $32 billion. Our Mission is to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. Whether our customers are accelerating life sciences research, solving complex analytical challenges, improving patient diagnostics and therapies or increasing productivity in their laboratories, we are here to support them.

For us, making the world a better place is what our colleagues strive for and deliver every day. As health disparities greatly impact subsets of the population who have systematically experienced more significant socioeconomic obstacles, it is essential for us to work toward the overarching goal of closing the health disparities gap for underserved communities.

To that effect, we have launched The Just Project, our COVID-19 testing program to facilitate the safe reopening of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) by providing the instruments, kits and testing infrastructure to bring COVID-19 testing programs to all partner HBCUs at no cost. This initiative is a multipronged effort to address the coronavirus crisis, which has disproportionately impacted communities of color. It is a powerful extension of our Corporate Social Responsibility program and our Mission to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.

Our challenge will continue to focus on the solutions necessary to facilitate health care access for underserved communities. Our team is finalizing the specific question/challenge currently, so please check back on our challenge page in a few days.
