BY SIMON FRASER | 0 min read

San Antonio, Texas, is ripe for a surge of tech business.

Chief amongst its strengths is its location, about an hour from both Mexico and the Gulf, making it a dual gateway into Mexico and Central America as well as the Caribbean.

Fortune 500 lists the military, health care, government civil service, financial services, oil and gas and tourism among its chief economic contributors, with a $96.8 billion metropolitan GDP.

Last year, San Antonio ranked No. 11 on Forbes‘ list of the Best Places for Business and Careers. Wanna put it in the Top 10?

Check out the San Antonio Mx Challenge, an 18-month competition that started in January, with a $500,000 prize.
