Matthew Jane’ is a skilled project manager with a strong structural engineering background and a history of positive impact in a wide range of startup and pioneering environments. He started Mecha Engineering LLC in 2001 during the dotcom crash as a vehicle to flexibly support the tech industries of Southern California. During this time, he has worked both in dedicated and contract modes for clients such as SpaceX, Disney, Virgin Orbit and JPL with a single focus: To catalyze the success of the team. This ability has been shown time and time again, ranging from production recoveries enabling lunar launch windows to be held, working with international teams to implement cutting edge enterprise solutions, to completing first of their kind complex projects. Keys to Matthew’s strategy is the ability to identify and mitigate both active and potential problems, a collaborative ‘listen first’ approach that spans the depth of the command chain, a broad background of experience and finally the ability to address a local issue while understanding the larger picture. Matthew continues to be focused in emerging private space industries, with a growing focus on non-terrestrial resource acquisition, and telepresence systems.
