Jean-Philippe Paiement graduated from Université of Québec in Montréal (2006) with a B.Sc. in Resources Geology and from Laval University (2009) with a M.Sc. in Metallogeny and Geochemistry. Jean-Philippe specializes in ore deposit geology, resources estimation, geostatistics and structural geology. Upon finishing his studied he worked as a geologist for Teck at Red Dog (Zn-Pb) mine covering the short term mine exploration program. Jean-Philippe started working with SGS Canada Inc. as a consulting geologist for exploration and drilling campaigns. In January 2010, Jean-Philippe was hired as a permanent employee of SGS Canada Inc. and as developed his skills in exploration targeting, resources estimation, geostatistics and mine audits. His work with SGS Canada Inc. helped him gain significant experience in gold, iron, copper and polymetallic deposit geology. Besides his expertise in geology, Jean-Philippe is also passionate about outdoors sports; he has been guiding whitewater rafting and class V kayaking for more than 10 years. Jean-Philippe also skis and holds his Level III from the CSIA (ski instructor), Level I (ski coach) from the CSCF and his Level I from CAS (avalanche).
