Fiza Farhan (CEO Buksh Foundation/Director Buksh Energy Pvt. Ltd/Co-Chairperson Italian Development Chamber of Commerce- Lahore) A young & dynamic social entrepreneur who has been a believer in bringing ground breaking modifications for economic enhancement of poverty ridden communities, renewable energy business solutions, working towards women empowerment and targeting untapped markets to create sustainable environment. She has pioneered new model of ‘Green Economy’ in Pakistan with multiple projects launched within renewable energy space in untapped markets. With a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Warwick Business School and a Bachelor of Science from the Lahore University of Management Sciences [LUMS]- Fiza Farhan has led her teams to pioneer and introduce innovative business models in the development sector along with establishing a new eco-systems to scale up sustainable models of renewable energy solutions in Pakistan with multiple projects launched within the macro, meso and micro renewable energy space. Most recently, she was appointed ‘Future Energy Leader’ at the World Energy Council and currently resides on the Board of the FEL-100 Program, received the 11th annual Environmental Excellence Award for the ‘Best Performance in Renewable Energy’, won the Wonder Women Achievement Awards 2015 in the category “Pride Pakistani Woman” and was appointed Co-Chairperson of the Italian Development Committee, Lahore chapter. She has consistently represented Pakistan’s renewable energy and development sector at the regional and global stage as a key note speaker across multiple conferences and forums including the UN Foundation’s SE4ALL forum and the Annual Global CSR Summit to name a few. Recently she was presided with the “Women Enterpreneurs Achievement Award” in the field of renewable energy by the Enterpreneur Council of Pakistan. She also continues to represents her organizations and country at the World Energy Council, UN Foundation Practitioners Network, Social World Economic Forum, ADB-Asia Clean Energy Forum, Gender and Energy Networks. Prestigious US Magazine Forbes selected her in 30under30 list of Social Entrepreneurs for 2015. She continues to create and mobilize impact investment based business models across a wide array of public and private sector clientele that lead to win-win strategic gains for all stake holders. Within her leading role in both organizations and the prestigious acknowledgements over the last years- Fiza has become the beacon of hope and inspiration for the youth of Pakistan especially the women.
