Born in 1964 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, México. B. Sc. Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana - Azcapotzalco in 1989. Got a M. Sc., Ph. D. and worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the School of Aerospace Engineering at Georgia Tech. He stayed there from 1991 to 1998. Afterwards he has been teaching and researching in the fields of aeronautics and renewable energies.
