Freeland, Michigan, United States
bio
Dr. Carrie T. Dennie, ND, MSAc is a Licensed Naturopathic Doctor and Acupuncturist dedicated to helping individuals restore their health through root-cause, whole-person care. Born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Dr. Dennie’s calling to medicine began early, but her commitment to naturopathic medicine is deeply personal. After experiencing the frustration of being told there were no alternatives to her own prescribed care, she began searching for answers beyond conventional options. That journey led her to discover Naturopathic Medicine and ultimately to relocate to the Chicagoland area to attend the National University of Health Sciences (NUHS). During her training, Dr. Dennie was able to discontinue prescription medications and gain the tools she continues to use to support her own health. It was also at NUHS that she discovered acupuncture and recognized its powerful impact on healing. Inspired by its transformative potential, she dual enrolled and completed both programs concurrently. She completed two clinical internships at the university’s integrative medical clinic, developing patient-centered wellness plans that combined natural and integrative approaches to address complex health conditions. Dr. Dennie earned her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine in August 2016 and later that year graduated summa cum laude as valedictorian with a Master of Science in Acupuncture. Dr. Dennie believes that true healing begins by identifying and addressing the root cause of illness while supporting the body’s innate ability to heal. Her work focuses on empowering patients with education, clarity, and practical tools so they can confidently advocate for their own health. Her clinical interests include gastrointestinal health, hormonal balance, skin conditions, allergies, stress-related disorders, and integrative approaches to acute and chronic concerns. When she is not in practice, Dr. Dennie enjoys traveling, reading, exploring new cuisines, and spending time with family and friends.
