Akira Chan is the creative director and founder of Rare Media, a digital media and documentary production company focused on one-of-a-kind storytelling for entrepreneurs, artists and creatives. RARE’s Mission is to create media experiences that are Revolutionary, Artistic, Relevant & Enchanting. Akira’s warmhearted and innovative approach to production has yielded hundreds of films and videos in the health and wellness, personal development, and entertainment industries. His charitable work includes developing and teaching 3 documentary programs that continue to serve underprivileged youth today. Between 2011 and 2014, Akira had the honor of partnering with Elevate films- where he contributed to over 200 productions featuring world renowned leaders, creatives, and organizations. During this time, Akira produced the feature films “Neurons to Nirvana,” and “Be Brave” (whose Indiegogo success story raised nearly $200k in 45 days). Along with their 6 person creative team, Akira and his partner Renee Airya are focused on developing a media platform for Rare Media original content, with new projects involving virtual reality and interactive media.
