Team Catalyst from Dearborn, MI, is working closely with national laboratories like the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and Sandia National Laboratories. The family team is working with Sandia researchers to develop a smart phone app that shows the payback for their self-installed residential solar panels. In addition to working with U.S. Department of Energy national labs, Team Catalyst also brought a new American-Made Network member on board—American Community Developers. The two are collaborating on a simplified version of the smart phone app, which the team hopes will resonate with “solar curious” customers, making them “solar confident.”
