Solar District Cup 2022 and SMART ENERGY WEEK

We are preparing our submission to participate in the Solar District Cup 2022.
We have read that Conference registration is free to participating students who are listed as team members via HeroX.

The rules also state: "through a partnership with Solar Power Events, registered team members receive access to the educational, poster, and trade show sessions of the Solar Power International conference, part of North America Smart Energy Week.

My question is: our team at this time consists of three students, one professor/advisor, and two non-affiliated team members who want to support the product. Neither the students nor the professor can attend the conference because of the semester being in full swing. Can the two team members who are unaffiliated with the college go to the Smart Energy Week on their behalf?

Thank you.

Thank you for your question to clarify this. The benefit of free registration to the Solar Power International conference is offered to students and faculty (not to industry mentors or other non-collegiate team members). Note there are virtual/online components of Solar Power International for which we would encourage student participation in lieu of travel and in-person attendance. If any of your students or faculty would like to receive the access code, please send us an email at solalrdistrictcup@nrel.gov. Thank you.
