Land O’Lakes Prize Participants:

We’re down to five days left before the August 1 deadline and we have been thrilled by the response we’ve seen to the challenge so far. Thanks to everyone who has reached out and shown interest.

As has been previously shared, this challenge will encompass two phases of judging. Following the August 1 deadline, our panel of five judges – which includes experts in engineering, imagery, agronomy, and agriculture – will review written submissions to select three finalists for a live judging event. Those three finalists will be invited to compete in a live demonstration of their solution to select the grand prize winner.

Now that we’ve worked through the logistics, we would also like to share some additional information regarding the live judging event.

The event will be held at a Land O’Lakes, Inc. member farm in central Minnesota on September 20, 21, and 22. At the event, the three finalists will have the opportunity to showcase their submissions’ ability to autonomously collect georeferenced imagery for multiple days at a time in a live demonstration to the judging panel. Further details regarding the location and itinerary will be provided to those participants who are selected as finalists.

That’s all for now. Thanks again for the hard work all teams and individuals have put into the challenge so far. We look forward to reviewing your completed submissions after August 1!
