Welcome to IARPA’s GF Challenge 2 Community Forum!

Thank you for joining our GF Challenge 2 Community Forum!

If you take the time to read this short document and adhere to its precepts, you can get the most out of our experience together.

The Geopolitical Forecasting Challenge 2 (GF Challenge 2) Community Forum (“Forum”) has been set up as a channel to help people find answers, solve problems, and stay up to date with challenge updates.

By participating in the Forum, you are agreeing to the following Rules of Participation, the HeroX Terms of Use, and any other terms included by IARPA on the Forum. If you don't accept these Rules of Participation, the Terms of Use, and any other terms, you are not allowed to use this Forum.

These rules are your guide to getting the most out of the GF Challenge 2 Community. Community administrators and moderators will enforce the Rules of Participation and the Terms of Use at their discretion. IARPA or HeroX may, at their discretion, modify the Rules of Participation.

If you recognize any violation of these rules, you’d be doing us and all community members a great favor by contacting us directly at: gfchallenge@iarpa.gov

Rules
To ensure a safe and productive Forum, we ask that you observe these Forum rules:

1. Challenge Operations: Only guidance on the Challenge rules and outcomes posted by the Challenge Team / HeroX should be considered official. Content posted by other Solvers is not endorsed or validated by the Challenge Team.

2. Be respectful. Respect your fellow users by keeping your tone positive and your comments constructive. Good or bad, your experiences are always welcome if offered in a courteous way. People like helping those who ask good questions.

3. Be relevant. Make sure your contributions are relevant to this Forum and to the specific category or board where you post. If you have a new question, start a new thread rather than rather than posting in the middle of a different discussion, where your comment may be lost. Solicitations inviting members to join, participate in, or buy something are never relevant.

4. Obey the law and keep your word. Don't post anything that would violate any law or any contractual agreement that you have made.

5. Protect privacy. Don't share anything about yourself that you would not want others to see. Don't post contact or other personal information - your own or anyone else's - or any content that you receive in one-to-one communications without the author's consent.

6. Remember this is user-generated content. You'll find plenty of good advice here but remember that your situation or use may vary from that of the individual sharing a solution.

7. Think before you post. You may not use, or allow others to use, your registration membership to post or transmit:
- "Rants", "Slams", or legal threats against IARPA, the U.S. Government, or another company or any person
- Offensive actions such as personally attacking, calling names, or otherwise harassing or being condescending to any other person or group
- Off-topic political statements or commentary
- Off-topic comments not related to a technical or usage issue regarding GF Challenge 2
- Language that promotes illegal activity or discusses illegal activities with the intent to commit them, encourage others to do so, or teach others how to do so
- Duplicate posts
- Hyperlinks that lead to sites that violate any of the Forum guidelines
- Any message that solicits or promotes the use of an illegal substance
- Post “spam” linking to outside sites that are not related to GF Challenge 2 and/or ongoing discussions. This includes your profile content
- Posting adult-oriented or sexually explicit content or images

8. We will try to remove objectionable content in a reasonable time. We reserve the right to remove any content and/or post without providing a reason.

9. Cooperate with Forum Moderators and Administrators. Please cooperate and take heed and direction from forum moderators when given, they are here to make the community environment a better place.
