We hope you’re as excited as we are as we get ready to launch the Geopolitical Forecasting (GF) Challenge. We’ve now released the Challenge Rules, IP Agreement, and some Frequently Asked Questions. You now can fully register and begin setting up your API for the challenge!
Get ready for the forecasting questions to be released on March 7th and to compete for up to $200k in prizes!
IARPA is interested in the science of forecasting and the GF Challenge is seeking solutions that are capable of intaking data and making forecasts. This may include investigating how a combination of statistical models and human judgments can be used to make accurate forecasts.
If you would rather make geopolitical forecasts using your judgment (as opposed to developing or engineering a forecasting method), you may be more inclined to compete in the Hybrid Forecasting Competition (HFC): hybridforecasting.com. HFC is currently recruiting forecasters. Please note that you cannot participate in both the GF Challenge and HFC.
